That poor girl showed tremendous perseverance in continuing with the race. The cheap thing to do here is to laugh at her and consider it a failure. The only real failure here though is not applauding what it took to carry on.

I like the videos where someone does something stupid and fail. They were dumb and the resulting failure was just added value. This is not the case with this young girl though. She was competing and while she had no chance of winning the race she didn’t quit. Embarrassed and hurt she found the strength to find the finish line.

This young lady may not have received a Ribbon for her race but she absolutely won a trophy for her life.

It works. I’m not a pretty man by any stretch of the imagination but coach Wal has been laid many times due to his compassion for the less than talented athletes around my area.
