Have any of you ever lived there?

Visited there?

We want to go to many places there. Pos Volcano Center, Corcovado National Park........

We may want to live there someday.

go there once or twice a year. Been going there for many years. Did Arenal in a helicopter fairly recently. Witnessed a private tour guy almost get swallowed up by a Croc. Was weird.

Escazu (in San Jose) is NOT cheap. People think it's cheap to live, but it's not in the city.

Guaranteed Mudcat hasn't been there.

Thanks, Pucky. I think I have like zero desire to live in the city, though.

What are your top 3 places to visit?

Any favorite hotel?

I always stay in Escazu. I went to the beach, Jacco and was basically unimpressed. Went to check out the Crocs on the way back to the city. That was cool. Guy was out of the boat feeding the Crocs. Crazy shit. At one point his leg got a wee bit stuck in the mud.

I have some vids of the volcano from the helicopter, but they aren't up youtube. The helicopter ride to the volcano was very interesting. I was nervous for sure, but it was still interesting to get so close to Arenal volcano. We were very, very close to it. We landed about a 5 min ride from the volcano at a private residence up in a mountain so that was very, very interesting. A week after I left a jaguar (cat) was on the property. That would have been so cool to witness.

Anyways, I always stay in Escazu. Very expensive. It's way more expensive to shop at the Multiplaza mall there than anywhere in the U.S. A nintendo 3Ds is close to $400 U.S. A golf style shirt from Nautica is well over $100 U.S. There no doubt that it's much cheaper in the resort towns especially on the Pacific side, but Jacco beach was basically unimpressive. Mind you I was there during the start of rainy season.
