Pitt has been plagued by alot of preseason injuries besides Robinson being out, many of the regulars have missed valuable practice time over the past few weeks. This will be the shortest preseason in history for Pitt, and they typically start their season with a bunch of cream puffs.and they typically have closer than expected early season games (last for instance they beat wofford by 3 the opening game, after trailing by 7 at the half)


starting the season vs a RI team that won 26 games last year and knocked off quite a few "power conference" teams, that is returning 3 starters. I think they are gonna struggle to find their rhythem and shooting touch.... Pitt is a team that relies on perimeter play and defense... and they are lacking in big men like they normally have. RI's strength is their returning starting big men, led by 6'8 senior Delroy James and 7'0 Will Martell. James in particular is a match up nightmare due to the fact that he can hit the 3... ( he made 46 last year)

the task of gaurding James will likely go to a freshman name Talib Zanna. Martell will have a size advantage over 6'10 flat footed Mcghee... I see the front court keeping RI in this game. wouldn't even be suprised to see RI win outright
