Had an interesting conversation with a buddy last night. He mentioned that he hates about 95% of his co-workers It got me thinking about the people I work with. I would honestly say that I would not go out of my way if I saw a co-worker in public and approach them to say hello or whatever. Then I thought that I also don't really care about a lot of my co-workers. I think that maybe 3 tops are decent people.

Do you like or dislike your co-workers?
Would you typically ignore or avoid your coworkers if you saw them in public?

Different element here, work from home with remote co-workers, I'd approach any of them probably mostly because we don't know each other well enough to have caused animosity

In the past I've worked with coworkers I liked enough to party with, put up with, and didn't care for. Mixed bag.

Same here. Obviously no co-workers at present, but generally got along with everyone with whom I worked. Actually I can't think of anyone that I had issues with other than the new guys that bought the company. They kind of looked at me like the mean orthopedist. Obviously they wanted me and knew they couldn't have me. bwhahaha or didn't like strong/smart women...something like that.

At least that is what I keep telling myself. :chickendance:

I kind of look forward to getting back into an office environment for the social part of it....whenever that might happen.

I could see that being gratifying for you, there are fullfilling aspects of it. It's like anything else, there has to be that one guy like Machu crushing everyone in ping pong and ridiculing his opponents relentlessly at every social work function about it. It's like dude we know you're good at that and we respect it but you don't have to keep reminding us. That kind of attitude takes its toll on an environment like that. There is an i in ping pong but not in team.

I don't hate my coworkers. I just wouldn't go out of my way for them so I guess I woudl have to put myself in the "I don't care about them category." I wish my coworkers no ill-will. My friend on the other hand, hates his co-workers, but he's actually a very nice and a very helpful person. To me at least.
