An unretouched photo of Cindy Crawford has been circulating on Twitter this morning, revealing a body that defies expectations—it is real, it is honest, and it is gorgeous.


While the claim accompanying the photo (which you can see here) is that it will be printed in an upcoming issue of Marie Claire, its origins are actually from a December 2013 cover story from Marie Claire Mexico and Latin America. It appears that this unretouched version is a leak.


No matter where the photo came from, it's an enlightenment—we've always known Crawford was beautiful, but seeing her like this only makes us love her more. And as she told us at the premiere of her new documentary last week: "I really think—at any age—it's learning to be comfortable in your own skin. ...If women would treat themselves with the same kind of love they give to their friends, that would be such a great gift we could give ourselves. ...What makes you the most attractive is self-confidence. That's what people see."

It may be real and honest, but gorgeous? Speaking for myself, I would prefer that the coat be closed.

I agree with the comments about women accepting themselves. 100%. There is too much comparing to the wrong things that goes on in our society. It starts at a very young age and never seems to end. So it is an important message IMO.

No need to lie about that picture being gorgeous tho.

Her bank account is probably gorgeous.

And of course if you do consider self-love and being comfortable in your own skin to be important messages, a person whose face screams MULTIPLE COSMETIC SURGERIES is probably not the best messenger.

Yeah it's weird. Like that first photo is intentionally as bad as it can possibly be. Possibly even doctored. To make a point or whatever.

Get people talking.

Lots of 48 year old women look a lot better than that and you'd have to think that Cindy Crawford, with her infinite budget for cosmetic procedures and training and proper foods would be kinda leading the way, hotness-wise, for her age.

Feels like something is not quite on the level here.
