Sure the guy is considered an offensive genius by many but why would he leave the pro's to be an OC at the college level? Maybe he's not leaving the pros on his own free will but even if he is being sent packing why would Florida do this? Seems like this situation would be temporary at best and a good chance that it could cause a conflict of egos at worst.

The whole things smells fishy somehow and just doesn't add up. I mean if they can work in harmony maybe this could be a good thing who knows.

he wants to be boss...he will never be boss in the nfl, so he takes an OC job in college and will probably be offered another head coaching job in the next few years...just my take on it :isnothing:

Ok, so it looks like the rumor about Weis coming to Florida is real. There still are many speculations as to why an NFL O.C. would leave to be a college O.C. even at a major school like Florida.

Some say its because there is an ego conflict in Kansas City and its best that he leaves. Some have reported that Charlies is going to be a graduate assistant on the Florida coaching staff and that has something to do with it.

Regardless of the reason Weis is doing this there remains some questions as to why Florida would be doing this and more importantly can it work to have 2 dominate personalities trying to work together?

According to sources at UF, Muschamp and Weis are friends and Will wants someone he can turn the offense over too and not have to worry about it. As for why Florida would want to run the risk of having 2 alpha males it is pretty simple when you think about it. Florida is taking a gamble (good gamble but gamble all the same) on Muschamp and should it fail they have a head coach prospect already employed who isnt your average coach in waiting type.

All this Gator fan cares about is a defense that punishes anyone who dares touch the ball and an offense that while has great speed and explosiveness, also is physical and can pound the ball down opponents throats.

Was wondering what would make Weis choose this direction as well. I am just wondering if the physical strains of being an NFL coach or NCAA Head Coach versus being an offensive coordinator in college would be a factor? Less hours and stress perhaps?

If the egos stay in check the potential here is enormous. Weis' offense will attract players even if he himself really isn't cut out for recruiting. If the egos get in the way then at least Flrorida has options if and when they have to make a decision.

Norv Turner should take Charlie's lead and go back to being a very good offensive coordinator! No way MaddMaxx can be a Norv fan?

Hey Maxxie, how bout those Chargers!!!

SPECIAL REPORT

This just in………………………….

A rash of home fires reported in the San Diego area this past weekend. Unexplained home fires broke out all across the area and they all have one very common bond. All the homes were owned by Charger players.

Authorities have arrested a suspect in the crimes. A 27 year old thuggish ruggish wanksta calling himself MadMaxx has been picked up by the police. Chief of Police refused to reveal further details other than to say that the suspect is one bad mutha and obviously deranged as all he kept saying was, BEAD YOU FOK………….YOUR NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nina, they reported here today that his son will be a graduates assistant here at UF. Maybe the report was wrong but that's what it was.

Regardless of here or there though, welcome back Nina, GameLive has missed you and the gurls.
