as previously mentioned in the ask kato thread, i am purely a recreational gambler and according shari91 should not post in a gambling drunken hooligan forum.

but WTH...3 games stick out to me to play, all regional to me

UTAH -2.5

IMO, PITT is not deserving of the high rep they are receiving preseason. coming out with a new QB and new OL. however their RB is the real deal and UTAH has an entirely new LB core. UTAH is also breaking in a new CB and FS. Offensively UTAH is going to be just fine. 2 good RBs, talented QB with a year under his belt and a good OL. UTAH does not lose this game and has a lot to prove this year. UTES win by 10 or higher.

CO ST +12.5

As with every year, COST gets zero respect in this game. Neutral milk hotel field and both teams are not contenders. Rivalry game that get played closely.

WASH +3.0

BYU is breaking in a new QB in a QB heavy heavy offense. RB is shit since Harvey Inga decided to knock up a woman. Locker is pissed over this:


game circled, payback time. head coach steve sarkisian used to QB at BYU, look for WASH to win straight up.

My lean is to the under 47 in the Colorado game. Neither offense is good, and both D's will be better. I can expand later, I did a bit of a write up elsewhere on this one, but since I am at work I don't have the energy to regurgitate it. Utah Pitt I probably will pass on, and thought about BYU but looks like that will be a no-play for me as well.

MTSU is a play if Dasher goes, and it looks like he will
UConn is a play
Navy is a play

Will go light this first week, but those are the leans. GL Kato
 
I did look into the Colorado St vs Colorado game and came close to including it as a play for my opening weeks selections. I liked Colorado St + the points in the contest. I decided against it partially cause I like my other plays more and also because every year I play this game and every year I am on the wrong side. My liking a team and not playing it generally means I'm correct about the team I liked and they win cause I can't profit from it.

Murfreesboro, TN (Sports Network) - Middle Tennessee State has declared quarterback Dwight Dasher ineligible for competition because of a violation of the NCAA amateurism legislation, but is seeking his reinstatement.
