basically on 2 angles only.
Steelers have the oldest group of starters in the league. and they are led by a beat up broken noise, concussion prone Big Ben. and they have a short short week to recover. Carolina is younger... but I admit they have nothing to prepare for. and I think they might be due a let down after their sunday win.
Stillers have already clinched the playoffs, they do have ranking to play for still... but they know they have the Browns in week 16 after 10-11 days rest. and they already are taking a stance of not playing injured players that COULD go if the NEEDED TO. ie TROY POLOMALU and Heath Miller. They are having a very "light" week of practice according to Mike Tomlin's press conference.
which tells me that they will not be sharp for thursday's game.
14.5 points is alot of points in any NFL game. especially for a team like the Stillers that doesn't have a potent offense
