Car situation - what do you make of this?

Some kind of crap dripped on my car. I don't know what it is. Some kind of salty, limey shit?

WTF?

It doesn't come off with soapy water nor with some heavier cleaner that a friend of mine had. I can't remember the name of the cleaner at the moment.

It is acting like permanent damage. Any suggestions?

if tar remover doesnt get it than you can buff it out with an abravsive polish.
you need a power buffer though.
it'll be cheaper just to hire a detail place to buff it out

muddy, if its sap or birdshit that has been baked into the paint, its fucked and nothing will help it, seen it so many times, but if its fresh, you gotta chance...get the spot wet and try spraying some purple power degreaser on it (or the most powerful stuff autozone has...ask them, and dont dilute what they give you) use a soapy towel and wash the fuck out of it for a bit. if that doesnt make a dent in it, dry it real good and try the sap removal. if thats no good, good chance its fucked, but you can go out and try some rubbing compound of some sort, its all bout the same. you will need to follow the compound with some meguiars liquid wax to clean the fine scratches..(its actually the best stuff made for car paint that you can buy over the counter these days)... i owned a few 18-wheeler cleaning biz's for many years muddy, i know whats up.
