they CAN afford to pay...they have the 2nd richest owner in the Majors...it will be a question as to if they are winning enough for them to justify paying players...

Lets hope the people in DC can start filling the balllpark. Their attendance is very pathetic for a new team in a brand new stadium. They are competing hard for fan support with Orioles and Philly.

Oh I agree...one of the biggest problems, they built that park on the cheap. It has not character, nothing special, and no one really cares about going to see it. It doesn't even do anything to make people come out once and watch a game let alone for an entire season.
