..... or at least cover! Manning deserves to go out beating his long time rival Brady! Just seems like the public is all on the Pats but the line sits still at Pats -3! Brady and Pats a dismal 2-6 in games at Denver! Yes Brady still at his best and Manning has a "noodle arm" according to the pundits! Looking over past games in Denver, Brady does have a better corp of receivers available to throw to today!
Viewing some defensive stats Denver faced arguably the best AFC offense in Pittsburgh last week (without Brown though) so will be ready for NE! Both defenses sack QBs with Denver having 54 to NE's 49! Denver better in stopping the run at 3.3 YPC while Pats stand at 4.0! Also Bronco's pass defense better by 40 yards per game while limiting opponents to fewer 20+ and 40+ big play completions than NE!
NE offensively no doubt has the advantage especially if Manning's throwing ability is just a shadow of itself! Stats show though Denver does run adequately at 4.2 YPC with 11 +20 runs to go along with 2 +40 ones! NE only gains 3.7 YPC and last in league with only 4 +20 runs while 0 +40 ones. Receivers on both teams are good but advantage goes to NE with Gronk!
Will Denver DC Wade Phillips slow down Brady and crew? Can Manning finally outsmart Belichick now even when physically at his prime was not able to do so? I myself thinks it comes down to a couple strategies for Denver to win .....
1) Denver control the clock and get the running game going keeping the ball out of Brady's hands! Ironic cause for years defenses would say the same about playing against Manning!
2) Denver DBs play as tight on the line against NE's pint size wideouts and harassed them off their pattern! Brady's relies so much on hitting these guys in stride quickly that turn into good yardage plays!
The Football Gods must do the right thing and have the Bronco's come out victorious!
Pat's success all started with this BS of a play .....
it must and it WILL end today!
