Michael Jackson died while we were hiking the PCT. Our friend drove out to some National Forrest in the middle of nowhere to pick us up when we decided to get off the trail.

We had been driving for awhile and it was quiet in the car. Out of nowhere she yelled "OH MY GOD! Wait, you guys have been living in the woods. You haven't seen a paper or a tv in like a week right?" We hadn't. She said, "get ready because what I'm about to tell you is going to BLOW YOUR MIND!"

She told us the news. Our minds were blown.
