Shari's Day 1.5 Wimbledon story.

I had bet a parlay at +117 for $600

One leg was chucked because a player pulled out. Parlay dropped to -123.

Then the match of the last leg was suspended because of rain yesterday. All of my money rested on a chick who was playing a turnip but my girl isn't the best on grass courts.

So I hedged. Turnip was paying +138 as she was up a break in the first set. Total green out profit of approx $60.

Turnip's serving for the match. 40% of me is congratulating myself on deciding to hedge. The other 60% is saying to a friend "we need to jump on live betting for my girl to break her in this game."

We missed it.

My girl goes on to win the match in the super tiebreak.

So I turned $486 profit into about $65.

Lesson I've learned now is not to hedge. And probably not to play parlays for 3x my normal bet size either.

me no pro by any stretch of the imagination
