I was at average stack with 14 remaining (top 9 paid) and smooth called a 5k raise from position w/QQ. Flop came A Q x and he pushed all in with AKo. We were about equal stack so I doubled up and was near chip lead.

Right after we got to final table, some schmuck that kept re-raising me on the bubble, tried pushing all in preflop when we were 2nd and 3rd in chips (second hand into final table.) She had JJ and I called with KK. They held.

After that, I had fairly big lead on the table and was playing with some timid opponents with little MTT experience (check BLuff.com whenever playing these people to see how much experience they have). Picked my spots, but stole a lot of pots. With 3 left I had 200k in chips to 40k and 50k for other 2 players. Flopped two pair and knocked 1 guy out. 2 hands into heads up guy pushes with K9 and I called w/A9 that held.

Real nice. I actually love the smooth call with QQ a lot of people might feel otherwise. I think with the top pair A on board you were getting all his chips regardless, but I like plays like this that surprise people

Sounds like you got on the right side on your big hands too.

Great job man, congratulations.
