While this could easily be a play on Blitty's "Benders" thread, it is not...I am in desperate need of a good blender and I know there are some hardcore smoothie types here.

The last one I bought I thought would be sufficient for my needs, but it couldn't break down ice at all. I sold it on the garage sale for $5 and now I realize my back up sucks. I know some names...Vitamix,, Ninja etc..planned just to get the most spendy and figure it was the best, til I found out that was over $600!!

Can someone give me a good blender model in a more reasonable range...like $100-150 tops? Less would be great too if it can handle ice/frozen stuff ok.

I don't use one much, but when I do, I don't want to have to keep picking it up and shaking it around to position stuff.

TIA.

Thanks guys. The crappy blender I had before was an Oster-but it was a cheaper one...less than $50 anyway. I looked at the Ninjas..but so many different models. l think I may go with the Original Ninja one...I think it's in that price range. I just don't use them that much to justify $150. What model do you have Nina??

80 bucks is all you need to spend on a blender and I don't know dick about blenders..

But I know.

This has to be the most ignorant post I've ever seen at this forum.

$400ish vitamix/blendtec blenders are superior X1000 to anything under $100.

Smoothies are so much better with all the fruit seeds nonexistent.

Try doing a nut butter with a sub $100 blender.
