I spent all of 2 days in Berlin. The "Topography of Terror" outdoor exhibit and the museum next to it are chilling.

There used to be this building full of squatter-artists in one of the hipster neighbourhoods, I forget the name, anyway it's closed, don't go there.

The Berlin Philharmonic is awesome. Might not be the best spot to meet whores.

Rent yourself a high-end BMW and try to beat my top speed on the Autobahn - ~255km/h.

I have to get out more. O/T. Matty, how did you travel when you had Pogo? I have a gnawing urge to get the heck out of dodge, but with an old diabetic dog I feel stuck. I can't bring myself to put him in a kennel, but not sure about traveling with him either although I know there are more pet friendly hotels these days. I thought about having someone come to the house, but with his needs it could spendy quickly, and I am not sure if he would be stressed in my absence. I love him, but I don't think I will ever own another dog. They are a lot of work.

I have to get out of this house.

ps. Do you have a subconscious death wish?

Pogo died in Oct. 2011, trip to Central Europe was Sept/Oct 2012. I feel the same way you do about dogs now - love them and still love to play with them but will prolly not own another one.

No deathwish. It's shockingly easy to reach those speeds on the Autobahn. Road surface is silky smooth.

Good to know it's not just me. I guess I could drive him to Colorado and leave him with my ex roommate at my rental. Fok. He's too well to put down and too old/sick to do much. :( Maybe a roadtrip would do him some good. Idk.

Sorry to hijack Puckie. Are you definitely going or just entertaining the idea?

SOLID INFO. I appreciate it. Did you check out that Wall deal? Is Topography of Terror close to the zoo? Did you check out any brothels?

The "Wall deal" is all over town. You can't not step on where the Wall used to stand. The Topography of Terror exhibit is right next to a stretch of the Wall that was kept up.

No idea about the zoo, and I regret to inform you that my then-GF and I did not have the chance to check out the local brothels.
