As you are making your selections for the regular season NFL finale you will want to keep in mind which games count and which games dont.
NFC:
Atlanta wins they secure home-field throughout the playoffs. They will be playing the Carolina Panthers so unless something crazy happens look for the Falcons to get the win here.
If Atlanta were to lose and New Orleans beats Tampa Bay then New Orleans would win the division and Atlanta would instantly become a Wild-Card team.
Tampa is a very live dog especially since Tampa still has a shot at making the playoffs with a win and several other things falling in place.
The Bears have an outside shot at getting the #1 spot for the NFC with a win over Green Bay and a loss by Atlanta but they can drop no further than the #2 spot in the NFC regardless or all other scenarios.
Maybe the most important NFC game is between 2 of the worst teams as St Louis and Seattle will be hooking up to decide the NFC West. One of these teams will win the division and host a game next week.
Green Bay is in with a win but should they lose they will need New York and Tampa to lose as well to get in.
Philadelphias game against Dallas has no bearing on the future of the Eagles, they will be the #3 seed regardless.
AFC:
New England has already secured home-field throughout the playoffs so their game against Miami means nothing, Look for Brady to maybe get a couple of reps and then he and other starters to get pulled.
Pittsburgh currently has the #2 seed but if they slip up against the Browns and Baltimore wins then those two flip positions.
Indianapolis is in with a win but with a loss and a couple other factors fall in place and the Colts would miss the playoffs all together.
The Chiefs win and they remain the #3 seed but if they lose and the Colts win then those two flip positions but there is no scenario by which Kansas City is eliminated and in wither case they will host a playoff game next week.
The Jets are in regardless of what happens and the only thing that will adjust their situation is if the Steelers or Ravens lose. Regardless though the Jets will play next week.
