Just wondering if anyone here was playing? Received a mass PM from them recently inviting me to play again. DSI the sole book this year. 10 grand to winner. Probably not in the cards for me this year. Was in the bottom 5% for just about the entire year!

Our leader Bread was in the top 3 and in the running to win it up to the last couple weeks. The self proclaimed king Enogsiwon was right there too! My first forum friend Kroyrunner89 won it! Trying to get him over here (has a good sense of humor) but seems mainly interested in the wagering aspect of the forums.

I'll be in BTP. I've finished in the top 10 a few times and I fell off last year so I would like to get back there.

From what I have skimmed, the prize money is a bit deceiving since some of it will go out in points to guys who don't post up at DSI. But whatever - good contest. Most of the other SBR contests have been reduced to peanuts but BTP remains worthwhile.

Not playing (for cash or points) but I'm confused.

So lets say whoever came in first place for the week didn't have a DSI cash account and was playing for points, and were to win $500.

They wouldn't give the cash prize to the next highest qualifying cash account, but rather give the 1st place guy $500 worth of points (or 500 points, or whatever) and then the highest cash account winner would receive like $300 or whatever?

That is very deceiving, if true. No way that's true though.

Yes it's true, it's 500pts thought not $500 worth of points. But, yes it screws the actual players out of the cash to go to what I'm sure will be 10,000 point idiots picking every week.
They should make you have $500-1k in your account to play at all.
