Couldn't have said it any better myself. I'll never forget the first time I saw the music video for The Dance, with the footage of the Challenger shuttle explosion and JFK in the parade. The kind of stuff that drives the song home. So much of his catalogue is uplifting music, too. Unlike most country artists, he's found a way to sing about hope without sliding into the Christian Contemporary genre.
