He did it.


During the first period of the game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers on Tuesday night, rookie sensation Auston Matthews scored his 35th goal of the season.


The goal breaks the tie and moves Matthews into sole possession of the Leafs single-season rookie scoring record, topping the mark that Wendel Clark set back in 1985-86.

I was surprised to see that Sittler never made that rookie scoring list.

That list is pretty sad. Leafs never got great draft picks. We gots one this time!!

actually after 10 seconds of thinking about it Walt jumped into my head. I can remember the name mentioned, can't picture the face. Wanna say mid 90's but something wants to say mid 70's. No No, might of been the 80's, I had his hockey card probably.

I live in the very bottom corner of mich, only an hour from Chicago. We get Chicago TV here, no mich TV. Heck, I'm closer to Indy and Milwaukee than Detroit.

Andersen, after a bad start to start the season, has been one of the league's elite goalies. Yes we do need an elite Dman, but our team is very much on the rise. No one can deny that except for those who claim they know and follow hockey.

Not saying you're not on the rise but I don't think Andersen is anywhere near elite and you need a lot more talent on D before you can compare yourself to the Hawks.

Habs are infuriatingly inconsistent. They seem to be clicking at the right moment though.

Let's start the playoffs already.
