I am assuming that the middle item refers to the death of the Georgian luger. That is in a whole other league than the other items. "Fucking up" seems like pretty strong language for 1 and 3. I would call those minor forgettable glitches. There were temporary problems with a time clock too. Meh.

The question of the luge track possibly being too dangerous though is a big deal - obviously. There is some debate about that. With 20/20 hindsight, it certainly looks like an awfully big fuck up - and the fact is, people were sounding alarms months ago.

But other insiders in the sport disagree.

i heard they had plywood or something up so people wouldnt hit those metal poles.

then they took it down when another luger ran into the wood.

not sure if this is true or not.

Yeah they extended the tops of some of the turns to make it more safe as well as covered the metal polls that were exposed before.

The games finished great and were a success in my opinion, the early problems (aside from the Georgian luger of course) are forgotten after some great stuff in the last week or so.

Well done Canada, as well as a great performance by the Canadian athletes

Great job by Canada! World order is now in place again with the Canadian hockey team winning the Gold! Please no negativity here! If the Canadian contingent leaves us, we are screwed.
