I fully expect qualifying for Talladega to be rained out tomorrow. I expect the Nationwide race to be rained out. We are talking about 2 inches of rain due in, moderate chance of tornadic activity, and the rain has already started falling. Which means line up by point standings and a green track come Sunday.

I hate betting on motor sports. Too easy to count your money early only to see the leader crash and burn on the last turn. Most brutal beats ever.

I do like me some NASCAR though. Playing NASCAR video games got me into it - it makes one realize how much skill is needed to win a race.

I don't follow closely, but I like to watch the high-profile races like Daytona and Talladega.

Roguey...watch Sunday. Talladega is the most wild track out there. Speeds could come close to 200 mph or more since the restrictor plates are smaller. They were up there in their testing sessions. And bumping drafting is so cool. Not to mention you know there will be "The Big One". Talladega has the best wrecks of any track. Here is last years.

I guess I need to watch it with a fan, sort of the same way yall would need someone into cricket to watch it and get it.

nina i will watch sundat

nina do yall use the "yall" all the time? that's one of my favorite american words

Either one is fine. I don't know if EA still produces NASCAR games, but I assume they do. Most of them do a good job of giving you a feel for the sport. You'll quickly realize that these guys are effin' maniacs. You're always a couple inches away from disaster on all 4 sides.

Y'all is a favorite of mine too. Never hear it outside the movies.

I do enjoy Nascar but there are too many bogus yellow flags for me to consider it for betting seriously.

My favourite driver would have to be Tony Stewart just for his abilities on real race tracks (road courses) but I also admire the professionalism that Johnson and Knaus bring to the table.

Tomorrow is suppose to be clear, Mike. It actually started raining here 5 hours early so hopefully it will end early. I am buckling in getting ready for this really bad stuff coming across the Mississippi line. Bad things come out of Mississippi today.

RJ....I'm sorry. I went to bed, Nina was agitated and had had enough. Send me a number on Facebook and we can chat sometimes and I will knock you out with the southern drawl.
