Is it really the case that a default on a debt is erased from your credit record after 2 years?
In the UK, I believe it is 6 years, although I think the period for legal claims is similar.

They gambled that you would pay them and make them money. But you're a gambler yourself. They lost. game over.
And the lesson is the sooner you stop paying them the sooner the statute takes effect.
