wrong. Nina isn't pissed. Nina simply believes that it isn't smart to kowtow to a whiny ass minority who doesn't watch your highest rated show in the first place. This will sort itself out. The audience will punish A&E far more harshly than any screaming butt hurt (pun intended) political group. A man stated his beliefs (which were no secret and is actually a HUGH part of the success of the show). He did so in a straight forward, kinda course manner. He said he believed it was wrong but that God loves everyone and it is up to God to judge, not him.

And Nina does not like double standards as I pointed out to you earlier. Now, you want to take another shot at me for stating my beliefs as well? All because I state something you disagree with?

i wasnt taking a shot at you, but you are ignorant to think he doesnt deserve to be punished... you dont think its right, but what he said bothers quite a few more than just gays...how is it you know that all the people that are pissed dont watch the show :clueless: im not gay and i think he should get chucked and am glad the bible thumping moron got punished... you dont seem to understand that you cant speak your mind in the manner that he did, on issues of gays or race, and get away with it... its my opinion that most every station on the planet would have punished him. its a definite black eye for any company that has a man ignorantly give interviews like that and you made a comment that A&E "needs" the show...that was quite comical

im not trying to fight with you, i know you are god fearing and believe all the bullshit the bible has to tell and i simply dont...am i a fan of guys fucking each other, not really, but im not a public figure that people look up to (for whatever reason)...

like it or not, now you that you cant get away with what he said...that was my point in the the first post...there was no shot at you

He obviously had no clue that the entertainment industry is full of gays/lesbians. (Not just in front of the camera either).

You would think he would be smart enough to not bite the hand that feeds him.

Not only that, he must not be an authentic red neck because everyone knows what happened to Ned Beatty in Deliverance so I thought that red-necks would love the LGB community.

It's funny too because a lot of the guys that make aniti-gay comments would not think twice about banging a chick up the ass but they get all angry about dudes who like anal with other dudes... Ass sex is ass sex.

It's pretty gross imo unless you go through all the trouble to get all the poop outta there.

I have never watched the show and I still won't.

You call him a moron because he believes in the Bible and God. He is part of a multi-million dollar company that was a huge success way before the show was on the air. I have never watched one episode of it. But like I pointed out to you on FB, where was the outrage over a commentator's remarks about sh*tting and pissing in Palin's mouth? Did you hear of a big outcry from GLADD when Alec Baldwin made gay bashing remarks? No you didn't. It is a clear case of double standards. And heaven forbid, if you dare express an opinion that disagrees you must be silenced and destroyed. And called a moron.

meh, he just doesnt give a shit...knows its just tv and wont last forever...wont change his day to day life ...seems like a pretty interesting guy as far as rednecks go...the religious talk is too much for my taste and i dont disagree with what he said in the interview, just that he shouldnt have said it in the interview :lmao:

i call him a fucking moron for what he said in the interview...if you cant see how he took it too far, then i cant help you...simpletons logic... he doesnt care, but it cost him a spot on the tv show... so that pretty much proves how moronic it was

or did he say it on purpose because he was tired of the show and didnt want to just quit? who knows...

I'm going to buy some Duck Dynasty beef jerky in support. I never watched the show.

I agree with a lot of what you posted Ray. The one thing I am sick of though are the networks worry about the vocal minority (gays, the far-left, and anti-Christians). They are praised for their voice being heard. There was a big deal made about Disney not showing a commercial for a Christian children's hospital - couldn't offend the Jews. ESPN eventually showed it after the outrage on O'Reilly's show. I guess is what this guy said about gays worse than refusing to show a commercial because the word God was being used?

I have watched Duck Dynasty and I don't get it. It wasn't bad or anything, it just seemed unremarkable in every way.

The in-laws watch it religiously. Adorable as they may be, they are country bumpkins.

So people are surprised and pissed that that guy would be homophobic? :biglaugh: Common.

Can you explain further?

The guy is entitled to his beliefs. The network is entitled to their right to run it as they see fit. The public is entitled to agree or disagree with either side.

We are an entitled world.

Now ol' Phill while entitled is not exactly enlightened. Asking the question "why would any man choose an anus over a vagina" leads one to believe that Phil and many followers still think that gay is a choice.

There are some pretty intellectual people who believe being gay is a choice and that floors me. Sure, there are those who maybe experimented, or are bisexual and I'm pretty sure there is some choice-homosexual activity in prisons throughout the land but true gay people didn't elect to be gay, they were born gay. The same as you were born straight, blonde, handicapped male or female. You can't choose to be something you are born into or born as.

People who believe in the Bible have every right to do so. What they shouldn't have the right to do is impose their beliefs on others. Yet because we are a "Nation Under God" it seems as those that believe have more rights and power than those who find it all so silly.

I like ol' Phil. I like a lot of what he believes in. I don't agree with everything but I don't fault him for believing differently than I do nor should he be punished for those beliefs.

Live and let live, I am entitled.

People who think that gay is a choice daydream about getting the buttrocket.

The end.

I think it's pretty chickenshit of A&E to censor the guy after knowing fully well what he stood for. There is zero ambiguity about the character.
