5 inning stats

Anybody know if there is a place that has a pitcher's stats for 1st 5 innings and any other 1st 5 innings stats? I was going to go through CBSSPORTSLINE.com situational stats and go inning by inning for the starters for this year and last year but thought there might be a place to find this info.

You guys have convinced me to start compiling some data for myself just to see what I come up with. If anything it will give me a base for the start of next season..

I don't know about that. The only 5 inning stats I compile are line stats which I get from Sports Options.

Without getting into scraping play-by-play, filtering by inning is probably your best option for the current season. For past seasons, making a database from the retrosheet.org data would be the best option. It would probably require more initial work if you're not familiar with mysql, but it would give you tons more flexibility for further research.

Those are good places to get me started. You are right Mr.X, I am not familiar with mysql.

I would recommend php and mysql for anybody who wants to build a basic database. I think wampserver.com will install all of it pretty easily. phpmyadmin provides a good interface to mysql for beginners and can save hours and hours while you learn the basics.

I go to cleanuphitter.com for bullpen stats. Those are just as valuable.
