Oh and for the record I wouldn't have picked this Florida game had I not said I would do a Gator game every week. There are just too many questions still. Our defense should be pretty awesome and we do have playmakers on offense but how it all comes together is still a huge unknown.

Two potentially exciting games tonight in Tennessee vs NC State and Boise St vs Michigan St. As of right now I have no play on either but I do like Tennessee -3 and I lean to Michigan St -7.

Tennssee even with the loss of an outstanding receiver should still have enough on offense to put up 24 to 27 and the Wolfpack without last years standout QB Wilson against what should be a stout Vol's defense I see scoring around 17. Predictions, I know most everyone here scoffs at them but I scoff at things like FOK'n tennis plays too so we are all good.

The game that is just too difficult to predict is the Boise St/Michigan St game. Michigan St should be a very solid group and are potential Big 12 contenders. You just are hesitant to pass on a Boise St team that always seems to shine in games where they are deemed a token (good but still a token) effort.

Getting close to thinking I know more than I should think I know and pulling the trigger on Tennessee but we'll see as the day goes on.

For the sake of this being a forum I'll throw the standard "what do you guys think" out there.

Looking hard at that Tennessee under.

I'm not big on TOTALS mainly because I totally suck at them but I guess without realizing what the total in the game was till you mentioned it I would agree based on my predicted score.

Could it be a sign? I mean 27-17 affords me a 14 point safety margin. Hmmmmmmmm, I do beleive both defenses will have the overall advantage here. Damn it Roady, I need to stay away from too many TOTALS but now I'm considering it.

You should consider it. NC St has a very very solid defense and I think they can contain Tennessee tonight. And as you already said, Tennessee's defense is stout. I dont think Tennessee gets to 27 points. I'm thinking a 24-21 final (dont know which way).

Then again, NC State's offense kind of scares me. Returning senior qb who threw for 31 tds last season. They're returning 4 of their 5 o-line starters. They had the 2nd best secondary in the country last season. I think NC St will be susceptible to the run this season. If Tennessee wants to do anything, they're gonna have to open it up with the run. However, they were terrible running the football last season and I dont think much will change in this game. I really like NC St and the under. Cannot decide which one to pull the trigger on yet. Also, keep in mind Tyler Bray hasn't won a game outside of Tennessee.

Roadie, you just made me catch a dumb thing I posted. I hate making mistakes regardless of how often I do them but this was a HUGE mistake.

I had it twisted in my memory about Wilson. He graduated last year but it was after transfering to Wisconsin. I'm dumb.

You're not dumb. Honest mistake. I'm really leaning towards NC State now. Really trying to talk myself into making this a big play.

There are 3 other games that I like but just haven't decided if I will play them or not yet.

I like but haven't played yet:

Tennessee -3
West Virginia -24.5 (will probably play this 1)
Miami FL -2.5

I should have gone with my instinct on the Vol's. Oh well 20/20 and all that crap!

Play #3:

West Virginia -25 (-110)

Regardless if Florida was holding back some of their offense today or not it is very clear that it is probably gonna be a very long and disappointing season. You can't hide the fact that we were pushed around on both offensive and defensive line. While adjustments were made they were too undisciplined creating far too many penalty yards in the first half. You can NOT allow a team to go 3 for 3 on 4th down conversions.

Ok so I haven't looked into this game at all but as I was looking down seeing if I wanted to play anything else tonight this one stood out and since it's obviously a LAY THE CHALK theme going on here might as well lay some more.

Play #4:

Oklahoma -31 (-110)
