Already mentioned somewhere that I watched True Grit and basically consider it a thumbs down.

The Mechanic: Liked it. Pretty much better than average action flick except the main bad guy shoot'em up near the end. Thumbs up overall though.

Kill The Irishman: I like movies based on real people and or events. I'm sure there is some Hoolywooding here but I still really liked it.

For more comprehensive reviews ask Muddy, Bread, Matty or Coug's to watch them.

dont waste your money to see the GREEN LANTERN....not that many here would, but let me tell ya, Ryan Reynolds plays the worst fucking superhero i have ever seen...

SUPER 8 was an okay flick...there are a lot of kids in the movie, so it might be a good one for the kids to see...i dont think its the summer blockbuster that its been built up to be, but its not bad.

fwiw, i watched season 1 of a decent 6 show tv mini series called Luther last week.. the main character is Idris Elba (stringer bell/ the wire) he plays a bit of a fucked up detective ... 2 eps. of season 2 have aired and i really like it.

RayRay, I came real close to going to see Green Lantern yesterday. I really didn't care about the movie but they have a 3-D version and I might be the last person on earth who has yet to see a 3-D movie. There are 3 options right now for 3-D, Green Lantern. Pirates of the Caribbean and Cars 2.

ill probably take the niece and nephew and few asians to see cars sometime in the next few days... should be good for a few laughs...Pirates is the same old shit, but there might not be anything better this summer ...as far as an adult seeing a 3D movie that is

Wally go see Cars 2, buy a huge bucket of popcorn, and cut the bottom out.

shits gone all dj hi tek on us bay bud... the glasses look like men in black shades and they get them back from you after the movie...$13 bucks for a fucking kids movie is nuts though. i dont know how big families afford the shit anymore

they are selling htc 3d androids now

yap...i was having issues with sprint the other day, but worked it out and the evo 3D will be my next phone i believe...the evo4 (sprint) and new thunderbolt (verizon), both HTC phones, are basically the exact same phone on the outside(screen, etc)... the thunderbolt is faster and has more memory (cus its 8 months newer) ... so i will wait another month or so on my upgrade with sprint and get the Evo4 3D.... it is supposed to be a lot closer to the thunderbolt in speed and memory...

i would switch carriers to verizon, since sprint in memphis doesnt have 4g yet, but it will be here soon enough and fuck i get so many perks for being a customer for 12 years, that i hate to pick up and go somewhere else just because they offer a few seconds faster internet on the phone...

tried it once long ago, rj, and it was a fail for me. technology might have improved from those old 3d glasses, but my eyesight is still the same and i think being red/green colorblind makes it pointless for me.

The red/green is long gone and they now use polarized glasses. I've only seen Avatar in 3D, the movie was terrible but the 3D effects were nice to look at although it was more a way to show off how pretty 3D looks rather than complimenting the film in any way.
