As for WandaVision, I'm still going with it. Amidst the intentional comic stupidity, there is something subtle and sneaky going on. I'm intrigued. I've got a feeling though that once they fully reveal what's up, I will fully lose interest. I suspect we'll be plunked squarely in the Marvel...

Gonna try the British show Back to Life. Here's the blurb: After 18 years behind bars, Miri Matteson returns home and stumbles back into adult life in the claustrophobic coastal town she once knew in this half-hour comedy series. Miri attempts to rekindle old relationships, make new ones...

Yeah, I just use caffeine. I know it doesn't really do anything for me - like, it's just become normal and if I stopped I would fairly quickly settle into a new normal which would be the same energy-wise. But whatever. My work can be pretty exhausting and it feels like a little reward.

They have a new twist on testing. They now have an "Anytime Test" that you can do whenever you feel like it (but then not again for a year). So I just went ahead and did it - and passed as far as I can tell. It's not the same as the usual test where you can double check what the questions...

It's that time again. They want me to put some of my poop in the mail. :handshake:

I wouldn't say I hated Uncut Gems but it was pretty much of a relentless why-am-I-watching-this? for me. One big extended shrug.

Eighth Grade is like that. Chock full of truth, no doubt, but just kind of unrelentingly bummerish (although - spoiler alert - it does have an ending that is so sweet - in a super obvious way but still nice - that it brought tears to my eyes.) Still an overall thumbs down for me. Just zero...

Sometimes there is a movie and it's just a bummer. It's showing a situation which is a bummer and that's exactly what it wants to do. There is no tacked on happy ending or gratuitous action. It's just a close-up look at an honest-to-god bummer. There can be genuine insight. Sometimes the...

I dreamed I was living in a world where movies were judged was by how many Willem Dafoes were in them. Like, any Willem Dafoe movie was good but sometimes there were two Willem Dafoes in a flic. That was a big deal. Then there was a movie coming out with three Willem Dafoes. As the dream...

    The Jeopardy contestant search exam

Short answer: yes. Sure. No reason not to try. As I keep getting older - and older - I have definitely lost a lot. I feel like Peyton Manning that last year on the Broncos. I just can't get the ball downfield like I used to. My zip is gone. But still, if the stars align, something good...

My prediction, regarding Your Honor, is that the quiet little black brother is going to do something major before it's all over. Not just some little gesture - a BIG difference maker.

It's a longstanding tradition to insert modernized, topical lyrics into Gilbert and Sullivan. This staging is from Stratford 1984 and if you keep listening there is a bunch more stuff about Canada at the time. Separatists etc. Funny thing is, the original lyrics that have been replaced remind...

Mathieu, you may be on the list. The song starts at 3:24 and you need to listen for ~25 seconds to get to the bit I'm talking about.

I rewatched the 2011 movie 50/50. I rewatch lots of movies and don't bother commenting on them but on this I have to say: that is a damn good movie.

The most recent episode of Your Honor was pretty damn good IMO. It's an intricately woven thing with many components. I keep expecting loose ends to fly off and prove to be filler or red herrings - but actually it keeps getting tighter. Very clever writing.

Wilcox has been around a long time. I used to go see him at Spanky's in Brampton - using fake ID to get in. It's been awhile since I needed fake ID to get in a bar. So frikkin' good though, those shows.

Funny. I just did a google search of who has been revealed on The Masked Dancer, expecting a list of D-listers, has-beens etc. One of them was Bill Nye. Like Noam Chomsky, that might actually have drawn me in.

Truth is, I have not seen a second of any masked show but name-dropping like that sounds like a solid play. I think this is Noam Chomsky, Ken. Something like that might suck me in.
