I haven’t either.

Funny you mention that because I was wondering this morning how McDonald’s retains customers these days.

A few months ago I ate a Big Mac with fries out of necessity. It was eat McDonalds or not eat. It tasted awful. The fries tasted like cardboard. The Big Mac tasted like plastic. And it wasn’t even cheap.

I disagree @Tron. Solid tasting burgers (6.5/10) and I personally think the fries are the gold standard in fast food potatoes (10/10). I've also been enjoying crushing a chicken nugget or two when the kids leave one. We do take out one night a week and probably every other week it's McDonalds for the kids. The adults usually opt for something other than McD's but when we do also get it we're very happy with it. The consistency of the product boggles my mind - and this makes it our go to "on the road and eating in the car" restaurant.

I haven't had a filet o fish in years (decades) but my brother in law who is a fish guy swears it's one of the best fast food seafood options from a health and environmental perspective.

This is exactly how I felt about McDonalds in the 1980’s, 1990’s and 2000’s. I’ve had McDonalds about 4 times in the last 15 years and it was always garbage but 4 times is a SSS I will concede.
 
Stale McDick's fries are sad. Piping hot fresh McDick's fries are the tits.

Same with the burgers. To make sure you get a fresh one when you go during busy times, either make a modification or order one of the less common ones like the aforementioned Quarter Pounder BLT. :handshake:

I'll try the Filet-o-Fish this week and report back.
 
Interesting hack there monsieur.

My hack is for calling in to customer service for a Canadian based company ie TD Bank, Cable company etc.

If the customer service line has a long waiting period I hang up and call back and "pour le service en français, appuyez sur le 2" then speak English to the agent and they will speak English back.

Its also a great way to avoid getting xferred to an Indian or other foreign call centre where they speak English with heavy accents.
