Like to check out official snap counts after each game. For the Philadelphia Eagles’ dominant Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs are in! Let’s take a look and run through some analysis. In case I forget the happy moments.

OFFENSE

1739287711148.png

  • Eagles players who’ve played 100% of the offensive snaps in a Super Bowl win: Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Nick Foles, Halapoulivaati Vaitai, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks, and Jason Kelce.
  • Dickerson played the entire night despite dealing a knee injury that prevented him from playing in the second half of the NFC Championship Game.
  • Johnson and Cam Jurgens were able to leave early with the Eagles having such a large lead.
  • Jalen Hurts gave way to Kenny Pickett in garbage time. Pickett’s sole pass was a fourth down throw that went incomplete.
  • A.J. Brown led Eagles receiving options in playing time. He caught three of his five targets for 43 yards and one touchdown. He had a 32-yard gain wiped out by a weak offensive pass interference penalty call on the Eagles’ first drive.
  • Dallas Goedert only saw two targets but he caught both of them for 27 yards. Low usage, high efficiency.
  • Mekhi Becton missed some snaps due to a knee injury but was able to return. Tyler Steen briefly filled in for him at right guard.
  • Saquon Barkley actually led the Eagles in targets with seven. The Chiefs were clearly committed to stopping him ... at the expense of making things easier for the rest of Philly’s offense. Whoops!
  • DeVonta Smith led the Eagles in receiving yards with 69. Nice.
  • Jahan Dotson caught two of his three targets for 42 yards. That’s his highest yardage total as an Eagle in a game started by Jalen Hurts. The previous mark was 36, which came on one catch in Week 9.
  • Grant Calcaterra logged just one target in four playoff games; a four-yard grab in the Wild Card round.
  • Parris Campbell didn’t play on offense in the Eagles’ first two playoff games but he saw some snaps in the last two.
  • Kenny Gainwell logged six carries for just 10 yards against the Chiefs. Three of them came when the Eagles were running clock on their penultimate drive.
  • Johnny Wilson dropped his sole target, which would’ve been a short gain if caught.
  • Fred Johnson finished the game at right tackle while Brett Toth finished it out at center.
  • E.J. Jenkins saw some garbage time action as TE3. Ditto for Will Shipley as RB3. Shipley also played the most ST snaps of any Eagle.
  • Khari Blasingame saw a few snaps as a fullback.

DEFENSE

  • Eagles players who’ve played 100% of the defensive snaps in a Super Bowl win: Malcolm Jenkins, Rodney McLeod, Jalen Mills, Ronald Darby, and Nigel Bradham.
  • Oren Burks was closest to joining that club.
  • Zack Baun led the Eagles in tackles and had a great awesome diving pick. The dude made at least one big impact play in like every game this season.
  • Birthday boy Cooper DeJean had a pick six on Patrick Mahomes. Pretty cool stuff for the rookie, who also picked up 27 yards on three punt returns.
  • Josh Sweat led all defensive linemen in playing time and filled the box score with six total tackles (second-most on the Eagles), three quarterback hits (team-high), 2.5 sacks (team-high), and two TFLs (tied for team-high). Not shown in the box score: Sweat pressured Mahomes into a bad pass that was picked off by a diving Baun. Sweat got some votes for Super Bowl MVP. He set himself up well for free agency this offseason.
  • Jalen Carter clearly drew extra attention from the Chiefs’ offensive line. He also drew a holding penalty for just the second time all season.
  • Like Carter, Nolan Smith did not log a tackle but he did have two QB hits.
  • Massive game for impending free agent Milton Williams, who had two sacks and two TFLs. One sack was the forced fumble on Mahomes that he was also able to recover. What a season for Williams. He only had half of a sack last year! He obviously played better than that number would indicate but, still, what a leap for him.
  • Jalyx Hunt going from playing safety in the Ivy League a few years ago to now logging half a sack as a legitimate edge rusher in the Super Bowl is pretty wild. Good for him!
  • Jordan Davis picked up a sack for the second straight game despite limited playing time. Efficiency.
  • Brandon Graham was able to log 13 snaps in what could be his final NFL game. Very cool that he was able to return. He logged one solo tackle and drew a holding penalty.
  • Isaiah Rodgers saw some playing time early on with Vic Fangio utilizing a dime package.
  • Avonte Maddox saw some playing time after DeJean briefly got banged up. And he came up with a huge pass breakup to force a turnover on downs! Unexpected.
  • Kelee Ringo, Jeremiah Trotter Jr., Tristin McCollum, and Sydney Brown saw a couple garbage time snaps on defense.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Screenshot_2025_02_11_at_2.29.41_AM.png

  • Kinda tough for Nicholas Morrow to not get at least one defensive snap in garbage time.
  • After struggling for most of 2024, Jake Elliott was perfect in the Eagles’ biggest game. 4/4 on field goals, 4/4 on extra points.
  • Braden Mann’s first punt went 53 yards and set up the Chiefs to start at their own 13-yard line. The second one went out of bounds at the minus 6-yard line. Nice work by the Eagles’ punter. No Arryn Siposs BS here.
  • The Eagles’ field goal snapping operation was having issues in terms of pre-snap penalties. Wonder how much of that was on Rick Lovato, who previously had some bad snaps in the playoffs. Worth noting that the two-time Super Bowl champ is going to be a free agent. Wonder if they look to find a new long snapper.

DID NOT PLAY

INACTIVE: Bryce Huff, Tanner McKee, Darian Kinnard, Trevor Keegan, Ainias Smith, Eli Ricks, Lewis Cine

  • Huff went from being the Eagles’ most expensive free agent signing to being a healthy scratch in the Super Bowl. The team is stuck with his contract in 2025 but they can move on from him in 2026, if necessary.
  • McKee could be the Eagles’ No. 2 QB next season if they’re able to trade Kenny Pickett.
  • Super Bowl LIX was a threepeat for Kinnard, who previously won LVII and LVIII with the Chiefs. He’s only played 89 NFL snaps but he’ll have three SB rings.
  • Keegan will have a chance to be active for games as a backup offensive lineman next season.
  • Smith will be competing for a roster spot in 2025.
  • Ricks will be competing for a roster spot in 2025.
  • It’ll be interesting to get a look at Cine in offseason practices. He could earn a spot on the roster as a backup safety.

@CASPERWAIT$, you’re very angry that Kendrick Lamar did the halftime show and in your opinion, it was terrible.

I think it was terrible as well.

I’m telling you that MANY people were VERY happy that KL performed and they were VERY happy about the way it turned out. The NFL machine (which is a multi billion dollar business) thought it was the right move to have KL do the halftime show. It’s possible that the NFL machine knows something that you and I don’t know.

I think we are done here, pal. I have nothing else to add or reiterate.

:handshake:

And I’m telling you whomever performs doesnt affect the ratings of the Super Bowl.

My Twitter poll is proving that.

Now we are done here

Okay so it wasn’t the rebates from your monthly and weekly alone.

That makes more sense
Usually I'll collect them together after a few weeks, you have 30 days to retroactively collect the cash drop rebates so I like to do it all at once ==>> so it adds up to $30 - $45 or so depending on my action etc.

I've turned a $30 rebate into $200 with a 3 team parlay more thana few times.

You get the horse rebates added in daily.
Right and then I'll redeem the cash drops all at once after I get a horse racing rebate. I don't play horses frequently with Betonline so I only get horse rebates infrequently. I actually prefer Bookmakers racebook because it offers 10 cent superfectas at tracks that require $1 minimum.

I’m banned at Bookmaker

They can fuck off

Please @CASPERWAIT$ stop it! Last thing we want for him to do above when he knows quite well he has nothing. :scholar:

Anyway on to more important stuff! Forest has a FA match today against an English 3rd level team that is in 18th place to boot. Away match that I think in on ESPN+ at 3PM against Exeter City.

FA Cup fifth round draw:

Preston North End vs. Burnley
Aston Villa vs. Cardiff City
Crystal Palace vs. Millwall
Manchester United vs. Fulham
Newcastle United vs. Brighton & Hove Albion
Bournemouth vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers
Manchester City vs. Plymouth Argyle
Exeter City or Nottingham Forest

Don't expect to see Wood or few other key players in the starter lineup. Manager resting up for more important league match on Sat.

Yep I’m set to watch at 3:00

I’m aware that Jay Z chooses the halftime artists (only because my son who loved the halftime show told me.

Ok in review….you like KL. You just hated the halftime show itself.

I’ve actually purchased a KL song on iTunes (“How Much A Dolla Cost”) like 10 years ango and I hated the halftime show as well.

I guess the only thing we disagree on is…..I think the NFL was marketing their brand to 13-29 year olds and you don’t agree?

:dunno:

The same group the online betting companies are grooming to consume their "product" in the future.
