Even people in the target audience thought it sucked.

This performance goes way beyond demographics. It was horrible.

Fuck, I probably know more Kendrick Lamar music than the demographic they were targeting lol.

The staging was lazy. The performance had absolutely no energy. No real surprise performances.

Just a bad choice all around.

Also, do you think the NFL or the Super Bowl will lose viewers based on who performs during the halftime show?

They can have Weird Al play accordion the next 20 years and people will still flock in drones to watch the games.

The 2H ratings weren't very good outside of Philly I'm sure.

Maybe the NFL can have Drake at halftime next year to counter.

I wonder how many people watch just for the halftime?

I can’t imagine many watch just for the halftime show.

Remember when In Living Color had a live episode during the Super Bowl halftime that one year as alternative programming?

Everyone watched THAT lol.

Who said anything about LOSING viewers?

NFL wants to GAIN viewers. Young ones. Not old balls viewers like you and me.

Having Kendrick Lamar perform at halftime does just that. GAINS.

It's a lot of mumbling with good beats and no melody in sight. I liked the opening scene with him on top of the car. Cool image. About it from me.
