Yeah but take out oil and gas and the Canada numbers are very small. Since the USA has more than enough natural reasources domestically, especially if we're tapping strategic reserves, all that really matters is finished goods (and some natural resources we don't have, like rare earth metals).
Canada could twist the knife by putting tarrifs on oil and gas but they're currently not contemplating that and honestly I doubt they export enough to non US interests to actually do that. Their economy is basically export one thing (oil and gas) to one customer (the US).
Probably gonna be a win for Trump if renegotiating NAFTA with more favorable terms for the US is the measure of success.
Guess we'll see.
