The next match is Nottingham Forest at home v Liverpool, it will be what they call a six points match (you keep your direct rival from gaining any points and you gain yourself points for a perceived six pointer)

Plus it will be virtually 1 v 2 in the league table

And in the unlikely scenario that Forest is contending the championship in the last round and there would be a tie in points scenario, their head to head results would determine the championship winner

Forest beat Liverpool at Anfield (Liverpool's home) earlier in the season, so right now it's advantage Forest, if Forest could hold them to a draw at least that would be HUGE

In other words this next round will be Forest's biggest match of the season

Tuesday Jan 14 3pm Atlanta time let's make a date of it Hooligans

Oh I’ll be in front of my TV.

I didn’t realize the importance of that match.

I should break open the Guinness and cook cheat meal food for this one

This is resembling the completely unexpected play of Leicester City when they won the EPL title. Issue is like RJ mentioned Liverpool playing so well and 6 points ahead presently with one match at hand.

Though starting FA cup tomorrow, and continuing with Champ League action, seeing Pool will be playing 2 matches per week for next 3. And if you want to count the EFL semi-final on 2/6/2025 would be 8 matches in 25 days. Forest on other hand would have played only 5 matches last one being 2/1/2025.

They do have a FA match against Luton Town (second division team) so only 2 days rest like Pool until Tuesday. Just guessing but possibly won't see the likes of Wood or some other starters to rest up for Pool. On the other hand Pool has plenty of depth so might not affect them all those matches but we will see.
