was at the hospital visiting a friend/neighbor who was stuck there for the last 4 weeks, he died Wed, 3 days shy of his 60th which is today.

Had no family so I called around to see if any funeral homes have been assigned to take care of the service but fould out that his body is still unclaimed and that the gov't will take over shortly if no one claims him.

It was suggested by the funeral director that I could attend at the funeral home and apply on his behalf to the disability program he was on for funeral coverage. I will be heading down to the FH on Monday to make the arrangements.

I requested a simple 5 minute viewing to say good bye and they said its ok as long as the body is in good enough condition and doesn't require embalming.

RIP JDog!!

I also learned that extended periods off my antidepressants cause a massive crash and send me spiraling, so no more of that.

No more self diagnosing, I'll stay on the SSRI's forever, since I notice a massive improvement.

Also, the plommer cat has an upper respiratory infection and needed a visit with the vet, hes a champ, let the dr poke/prod him with no complaints and lets me put pills in his mouth and force swallowing. Love the kitty.

Cost for the vet visit plus meds was $150 CAD, $108 USD

A vet visit here is damn near $400. Fucking A. Hope the little bugger recovers.

Thanks pally, they recommended an antibiotic and wanted to do x-rays, bloodwork as well as an eye test and I said no. He's eating and drinking, pooping and playing and shows no signs of something more serious so I said just get him the antibiotics.

He's on the second day of his meds and I can already hear a difference when he sneezes, it sounds like its breaking up instead of a strong sneeze and they are less frequent.
