1) How did you become interested in gambling?

2) How long have you been gambling?

3) What keeps you doing this?

4) Do you personally think you're good at gambling?

5) Do you love gambling?

6) Was it difficult becoming good at gambling?

1) Tomato wanted to put his money where his mouth was. When he was a small little seed he was always organizing fantasy football and pick'em tournaments and winning. Even in elementary school he was interested in predictability of events, he filled out an NCAA bracket in 2nd grade.

2) Tomato has been gambling for 2 years

3) Money

4) No, Tomato beats crappy books who put out numbers better than Pinnacle's EV. EXCEPT FOR NFL DRAFT WHERE TOMATO BELIEVES HE IS IN THE TOP 5 OF THE COUNTRY.

5) No, Tomato sees gambling as an investment. Gambling brings stress and ruins social lives. The key is balance.

6) Not really. Tomato had an epiphany one day where he learned to read lines and said "wait, why does Matchbook always have the best number?" That led to looking into expected value and reading a bunch of Ganchrow articles.

I don't think any of the pro's I know enjoy gambling. It just wears you down sometimes.

The grad student I just wrote about went on to become one of the most successful online limit holdem players. He LOVES gambling still. He's just giddy every time he comes to Vegas. It's weird. He's Alaskan, maybe that has something to do with it.
