So, Cubs in the WS. Good on them. I'm fairly indifferent to the match up but I'll be routing for the Indians.

1. I tend to route for the AL.
2. I like a good drought.
3. Wrigley is a dump and I resent organizations who treat their fans poorly in this regard.
4. As far as former Yankee closers go I think I like Miller better.
5. Cleveland needs a win more (from a social and economic perspective).

I do like "Go Cubs, Go." I'm a fan of team specific victory songs and I'm anti music simply appropriated by teams (Yankees - NY, NY or Boston - Sweet Caroline).

Congrats to the Indians and Cubs. Now let's get it on.

I'm rooting for the Cubs and the best manager in baseball! I feel for Cleveland also but they got their title with the Cavs so city is good!

Just going back in my mind to the 69 season where team looked destine to make the NL playoff and hopefully advance to the WS and those bastard Amazing Mets took it from them! Poor Ernie Banks, Sweet Billy Williams, Santo, Kessinger, Beckert, Jenkins, Hundley, Holtzman, Johnson, Phillips, etc, etc, etc! And of course Leo the Lip! Names I still recall off the top of my head!

Yea, probably plenty of young punk Cub fans* but lots of old timers out there HOPING for a WS title before they leave this world!

*A few middle aged ones too it seems .....
I luv that song! Coug stop back and at least hello! We miss you!

I forgot about Cougar Bait. All the more reason to root against the Cubs next week. 2003 was a glorious time to be a Marlins fan. All the asshole Cubs fans in our ball park talking shit when they went up 3 games to 1 in the NLCS. Shit ended up a little different then they thought it would.
