Why I don't like Devilwoman

Mrs X, here's where you're wrong. Men who think of women only as sexual objects are not going to be disuaded by anything that any women has to say on the subject. Similarly, men who do not categorize and classify women will not be disabused of that opinion in spite of Devilwoman's penchant for porn. If your goal is to be viewed as equal, which is everyone's right, then you should embrace the fact that there are all kinds of women (as there are men) and it would be asinine to label all women as loose because one of your sisters decides to get a little dirty with the boys. The men you are worried about viewing women in this manner already have their mind made up and their opinions are etched in stone. Why would you pander or care about those men anyway? They are not worthy of your crusade.

I don't care about the men. I care about the women. I didn't say "she" was loose, I said "she" was dumb.

In a perfect world, women would take the rights and the status they fought so hard to gain and use it to be "better", instead of turning into what they originally fought against.

*oh wait, I may have called "her" a slut.

Men or women who are crude and dirty with no hint of a brain or soul are a complete turn off. Crude and dirty with intelligence and heart I totally get. It's feels worse to listen to a dumb, filthy woman. I have a double standard. I know.

It did of course but because she's a woman she feels as though it should be kept in the privacy of a girls night out away from the leering glances of all those judgmental boys. That thinking hurts your cause more than Devilwoman's posting provocative pictures. That's exactly the kind of separation that the women's movement looks to do away with and has basically succeeded.

I would be totally fine if she didn't want to post her pic if she didn't have a provocative avatar and was named Devilwoman. Or, maybe I could feel better about it if she just said, no with a short explanation.

I know, I know. No means no. Even when you're a tease.

I also know that I have a double standard going on here, Swinging Johnson. I think I explained myself somewhere else around here. Damn you! I have grocery shopping to do. If I don't, I'll be posting more about "going into the light".

You could take it one step further and call it reverse sexism. Mrs.X is implying that men are unsophisticated to a level that makes them easily enticed to devolve from their more enlightened perspectives on women, which are implied to have been shaped through the hard work of feminism and women alone.

It is a double standard and reverse sexism. I am implying that many men are unsophisticated to a level that makes it easily for them to be enticed to devolve from an already devolved perspective.

I think people in general should aspire to a higher standard and especially women since they fought to be "equal". I don't really consider myself a feminist but if THE MAN (general) tried to hold me down I'd fight, and have fought like hell. Was this because of the feminist movement? I don't feel like it is. I feel like I was just born that way. But, I know that my mom was a teacher, one of the few jobs that was acceptable for her to take before she left her job to have babies.

Don't take your equality and use it to be just as lame as your predecessors. I know this really can't be a solid argument, since "lame" is my value judgment.

As far as feminism goes, I think it has done women some great disservices. It's concept like any movement is much greater in theory than it's actual execution.

When Mr. X (Mr. X, not Mr. Z) saw what shenanigins I was getting into he just shook his head. He knows that debating is not my strong suite. I'm good with emotions but it's hard for me to express them logically.

*Also, as an aside I don't support working moms, unless it's completely unavoidable, and I think that feminism has made women really bitter towards men....which I am not. I love you mens. Don't get too excited, love, not loooovvvvve.
