    How is the book?
I just started a book the other night, so not looking to read it right now, maybe next week.
Wass supposed to watch the movie a couple weeks ago, never made it that far.

It's completely exaggerated, fabricated, and utterly absurd at times. Doesn't do the book justice at all. If you haven't read the book, you may enjoy the movie. If you've already read the book (which is terrific), don't waste your time with the film.

read my dad's copy of the book in 2 nights while visiting during Thanksgiving. I loved it, most of the stuff I loved was left out of the movie

alot more detail about Beane's playing career, and my favorite parts are the accounts of "the creature" and fat Jeremy Brown. and all the draft room stuff.

Movie was still ok, just no where near as good.

The fact that Zito, Mulder, and Hudson are almost never mentioned seems a bit disingenuous though.

I was going to say this as well. I watched it last night and was very disappointed.

    You talking about Darvish?

Are you including the $50 million+ posting fee they had to pay to negotiate with him?

cj is a douche bag and that no one particularly liked. but with that aside yu is 6 years younger. and stop comparing him to dice k, yu is 6'5''. it was a 6 year 60 million deal with a 51.7 million posting fee. cj got a 5 year 78 million contract.

so technically i guess yu costs more, but wilson is total garbage in the post season and was a key contributor to losing 2 world series
